Mani-Monday: Ombre Leopard

Sorry I have been MIA, I have a lot of things going on. However, this week’s nail look might be my favorite and I love the color combination. It is simple yet still something different. I think I will always love nude and neon together. The coral nail polish is such a gorgeous color. The picture does not do justice to how beautiful the color is. To get this look:

 You will need:
Base coat
Nude nail polish
Neon coral nail polish
Black acrylic or black nail polish
Makeup sponge
Toothpick
Top coat

Step 1: First, apply your base coat. Then apply two coats of your nude polish. I used ‘Sandstorm’ by Maybelline. Wait a few minutes for your nail polish to dry before doing the sponging.

Step 2: Next, get your makeup sponge and brush on the nude polish, I used ‘Sandstorm’ by Maybelline, next to the nude, brush on the coral polish, I used ‘East Austin’ by Maybelline. LIKE THE PICTURE BELOW. (I like to lightly dab the makeup sponge once on a napkin or piece of paper to let the colors blend). Then, dab the sponge on to your nail, making sure the coral is near your cuticles and dab lightly. Move the sponge a little up and down on your nail to blend the colors and give you that beautiful gradient look. You can repeat this process a few times (I usually do two times) to give you a more opaque gradient. Just make sure to reapply the colors on the sponge each time and wait a few minutes for the first layer to dry.

Step 3: Then, on your ring finger, dot the nude nail polish on the coral part of the gradient and then dot the coral nail polish on the nude part of t he gradient. Then using your toothpick, dip it into the black acrylic or black polish and create the leopard print around the dots of colors. Wait for your ring finger to dry a bit before applying top coat.

Step 4: Lastly, apply your top coat and you are done! You can create the leopard print on all or on one or on none of your nails. I just wanted to create a simple yet fun nail look.
